Jim Anderson came to the Wesley in 2007. Brianna Wright also came to the Wesley in 2007 as a freshman. They met, started dating, and eventually got married. Now they live in Amarillo with their two girls. Jim is the current Wesley Foundation Board President and a financial advisor with Edward Jones as well. Bri is a 5th grade teacher at Tradewind Elementary.
They were both Fusion leaders in some of the very first Fusion groups at the Wesley which are still going to this day. Since they have graduated, they have been some of our biggest financial partners and prayer warriors. Jim and Bri believe in the Century Club (our monthly financial partnership program) to keep this place “Raising up the next generation of Christian Leaders.”
Jim has a love for building and carpentry. This summer, Mikey and Jim took to Pinterest and found the perfect design for seating under the pergola. On several occasions this summer, after full days of work, Jim came up to the Wesley from 5:00 PM till 2:00 AM to work on these benches so they would be ready by the fall. One day, since their kids were with the grandparents, Bri got to come help show off her wood crafting skills. This girl knows how to use a chop saw, nail gun drills and more. Jim is also building the two benches on the west side as a solo project.
We will release the name of this new patio area in a future story, but for now, Jim and Bri as well as Mikey’s daughter, Maci, staff, and alumni like Mikayle Bolton have made this awesome dream come true.
We want to give a special thanks to Jim and Bri Anderson for all their heart, and skills, and support for the Wesley Foundation!
