We are so excited to introduce our 2020 WT Wesley Academy. If you’re not familiar with the Academy, it’s made up of university graduates who feel a particular pull toward vocational ministry. Like missionaries, they raise financial support to minister to local churches half-time and the university the other half.
The Academy is a 1-3 year program where these students learn from area pastors on various practical ministry topics through our Wednesday morning modules. We work to pair them with a local congregation to help in the areas of youth, children, worship, media, or pastoral ministry. Finally, they work alongside the Wesley and minster to the students as coaches for small groups or resource teams, develop new areas of ministry, carry out the day to day functions of maintenance, and help me develop the philosophy behind the sermon series.
It is a practical, hand-on style of learning ministry on the go. We are beginning our 6th year this week. We’ve seen many Academy students come through in that span and enter into vocational ministry all over the NWTX conference and beyond. In the following, we will briefly introduce each of the mission staff.
We are also excited to introduce our new Wesley Academy Director, Kayla Moody who has already been doing a FANTASTIC job at overseeing this vital ministry of raising up the next generation of Christian leaders.
If you’d like to support one of our mission staff or the program itself, go to www.wtwesely.com/give and follow the prompts to make a donation.
God Bless you this week
